3.4　Shim Plates

3.4.1　The arrangement of shim plates shall meet the requirements of design documents.When the design does not have requirements，bed-mortar method，installation method without shim plates，etc.can be adopted.

3.4.2　The installation of shim plates shall meet the requirements of Code for Construction and Acceptance of Mechanical Equipment Installation Work GB 50231 as national standard.

3.4.3　Before equipment base is in position，the size，group number and placing position of shim plates shall be determined in accordance with the shape and size of base，the diameters of anchor bolts，the compressive strength of foundation and equipment weight.
