2014年，“国际建筑工坊”第一次踏上南美大陆，来到了哥伦比亚首都波哥大。波哥大具有南美大都市的典型特征：紧密、混杂、动静对比鲜明、色彩鲜艳热烈，独特的地理特点体现在城市与自然的关系中：山脉成为城市的标志景观。本年度的题目是在安第斯大学校园附近设计一幢学生公寓。在对城市和地段进行了详细考察和调研后，学生们从城市街区生活复兴和活化的角度切入，力求植入标志性建筑以提升城市景观的价值。哥伦比亚建筑传统中独特的建筑材料——红砖为设计带来了灵感。用建筑解决城市社会问题也成为2014年“国际建筑工坊”广泛讨论的议题。

In 2014, AIAC sets foot on the South American Continent for the first time and arrived in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. Bogota boasts the classic features as a metropolis in South America: The city is compact, mixed and bright-colored with static and dynamic contrast. Unique geographical features are also reflected in the relationship between city and the nature: The mountain chain becomes a landmark landscape of the city. The project for students was to design a student apartment near the campus of University of the Andes. After carefully analysis and survey on the city and the selected site, students tried to integrate a landmark building into the city to enhance the value of civic landscape, from the perspective of reviving and enlivening the street life of the city. Red brick-a building material unique to the Colombian building traditions also inspired the design. A mostly discussion of 2014 AIAC was to make buildings as a solution to social problems of the city.
