6 Conclusions
The thermal and mechanical properties of early age massive RC structure were analysed.Based on the accurate prediction of the temperature and thermal stress,a new reinforcement design method for control crack width was proposed in this paper.The conclusions are summarised as follows.
A numerical method to predict the temperature and thermal stress of massive RC structure was introduced,which is modified by the GA in the preliminary period.In addition,numerical simulation of temperature and thermal stress showed good agreement with the measured results.Moreover,the plane substructure theory was implemented to achieve the transformation from 3D finite element calculation results(FECR)to 2DFECR based on the node equivalent load.Finally,the reinforcement design method is achieved comparing crack width and reinforcement gross.Numerical simulation shows that the amount of reinforcement reduced by 38% and meanwhile the reinforcement stress increased by 31.55%(within the yield strength of steel)for some special cases.
