1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This standard is applicable to installation and design of cabling duct in the newly-built telecommunication room in the non-earthquake fortification zone.Reference may be made to this Standard in the case of renovation and extension projects.

1.0.2　The mode for installation of cabling duct in the telecommunication room shall be determined on the basis of the scale of the telecommunication room，the structural form of the installation equipment and the equipment layout requirements，etc in the light of local conditions.

1.0.3　Subject to ensuring that normal communication is safe and reliable，installation and design of cabling duct shall take into account convenience for construction and maintenance，tidiness and elegant appearance of the telecommunication room，as well as communication safety in case of natural disaster.

1.0.4　Installation and design of cabling duct shall be conducted by products and components which have been appraised and comply with communication production requirements.

1.0.5　Seismic reinforcement specified in cabling duct reinforcement section of this standard shall comply with YD 5059-2005 Design Specification for Seismic Installation of Telecommunication Equipment.

1.0.6　In addition to the requirements stipulated in this standard，installation and design of cabling duct in the telecommunication room conducted according to this Standard shall comply with current relevant national and professional standards and specifications.
