The configuration file is a text file with parameters and descriptive comments, which can be useful to standardize SQL deployments. It is processed in the following order:
- The values in the configuration file replace the default values
- Command-line values replace the default and configuration file values
For security reasons, it is recommended to specify the passwords at command prompt instead of in the configuration file.
The SQL parameter can install the SQL Server Database Engine, Reporting Services (RS), Replication, Full Text, and Data Quality Services (DQS). The RS parameter will install all RS components and the Tools parameter will install shared components.
In this sample configuration file, RLLAB is the domain and you need to replace it with your own domain.
