Upgrading vRealize Operations
Sooner or later, you have to deal with upgrading vRealize Operations, as you do with any other software in your environment. The good news is that upgrading to vRealize Operations 6.6 is a breeze. It's done by simply performing a software update.
Before proceeding with an example upgrade, there are a few important things to note:

- You can upgrade the standalone version of vRealize Operations on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5, 6.6, and 6.7 operating systems.
- If you are upgrading from vRealize Operations 6.0.x or 6.1 you must use a two-step upgrade process: You must upgrade to vRealize Operations 6.3.1 first and then upgrade to vRealize Operations 6.6.
- If you are upgrading from vRealize Operations versions 6.5, 6.4,6.3.1, 6.3, 6.2.1, or 6.2, you can upgrade directly to vRealize Operations 6.6.
