Organization-validated certificates

An organization-validated SSL certificate (OV certificate) validates the domain ownership, plus the organization information included in the certificate, such as the name, city, state, and country. The validation process is similar to that of the domain-validated certificate, but it requires additional documentation to certify the company's identity. The order can take up to a few days because of the company validation process.

Offers more company information and thus trust to the end user. Most consumers will never check the details of a certificate, but it can help convey more trust.
