Classic usability goals

Lastly, we also run usability studies with very traditional goals, such as the following:

  • "Are icons enough? Or do we need to include text labels?"
  • "There is no commonly used icon for our new feature. Will users understand what it means?"
  • "Do users have enough information at hand to choose an option?"
  • "Is the navigation intuitive to use? With a given task to complete, do users find the right path within the product?"
  • "Do the users notice the filter function?"
  • "Is the language used in our product user-friendly, or is it too loaded with jargon?"

Any goal that looks to evaluate how intuitive a product is, is a good goal for a usability study.
