Modifying forms
Now that we have the basic form open in PowerApps studio, we can start to modify it. The idea is that we can add or remove fields from the form to create a bespoke data entry experience, which will generate controls within a form. For the controls to appear within SharePoint, they must be contained within a form control, but what you do within that form is entirely up to you. The form control and editing capabilities are illustrated in Figure 3.11: Editing the fields within a form control:
Modifying the form allows you to change the controls that you use to enter data or to enhance the styling of the form by adding additional formatting or information, or by hiding and showing other controls based on logical conditions. All of these were previously made possible by using InfoPath or by customizing; however, this is now possible through PowerApps and will help you to greatly enhance the SharePoint user experience.
As mentioned in step 6 of the form creation, there are several events that we can add functionality to, and these are accessible by going to the advanced options available to
the form.
